When I came across this text, it really captivated me. Even though it has a somber and lonely feel, I love how well it expresses deeply-felt love and conveys that love knows no boundaries, not even death.
The music attempts to capture that deep love, somberness, depth, and the distance of death, through expressive lines mixed with harmonies that are close and spread, dissonant and lush, and sometimes deep.
