That First Christmas Day is an original Christmas song that I wrote for a local choir and later made it available for solo voice as well.
The words consider the connection between God's love for us and the birth of His Son, Jesus Christ. Along with its poignant message, the music contains beautiful and very singable melodies and a has a memorable chorus that will really stick with you and your listeners!

That first Christmas morning beneath a new star
Mary sat pondering deep in her heart,
Pondering who was asleep in her arms:
The King, the Son of God.
How could she ever have known on that day
This little baby asleep on the hay
